Marcus Mithoefer

Marcus joined our Cincinnati office in April as a Process Engineer. His last position was with Smithfield Foods (John Morrell Food Group) as an R&D Technologist where he led projects from conception to full-scale plant production in all product categories, ranging in scope from limited time product runs of 100,000 pounds to permanent items with well over 1 million pounds of annual production. Marcus was also involved in cookhouse design modifications to improve airflows and gain greater product consistency. He began his career with Smithfield as an Operations Associate and has also served as Quality Improvement Manager there.

Marcus has received training in Advanced Food Process Engineering, Food Packaging, Advanced Instrumentation, and Heat and Mass Transfer Engineering. He received a BS in Food Process Engineering from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and also holds a BS degree in Molecular Genetics/Biology.

Ryan Robertson

Ryan is a new addition to InLine’s Louisville CAD Design Group. He has over 25 years of experience in computer aided drafting and design. He has primarily worked in the piping industry on projects that included new facility design and construction, expansions, and modernizations in existing chemical, petrochemical, specialty plastics and refining facilities. Ryan is experienced with AcornPipe, Vernon Plasma Robot Programming, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant, AutoCAD P&ID, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Microstation.Ryan spent the past 7 years with Globe Mechanical and Industrial and worked with Piping Layout Consultants for 4 years prior to that. He holds an Associate Degree in Design Technology from Ivy Tech State College.

Alan Segars, P.E.

Alan joined InLine's Atlanta office as a Senior Process Engineer in early 2019. With over 20 years of experience working as an engineering service provider, Alan has extensive experience in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, consumer products, and specialty chemical industries as a Process Engineer, Process Group Leader, Project Engineer and Quality Engineer. He has hands-on design and supervisory experience in multiple types and sizes of capital projects. He also has experience in on-site construction, installation, and start-up support.

Most recently, Alan spent 5 years with GEO Specialty Chemicals. Prior to that, he was Process Mechanical Discipline Lead at Middough, Inc. a full-service engineering and architectural firm. Before Middough, he served for an extended period as a Project Engineer with Lockwood Greene Engineers. Alan received a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech and MBA in Operations Management from Georgia State University. 

Don Aikens

Don joined the Atlanta office in early 2019 as a Senior Project Manager. He brings over 30 years of engineering and project management experience- solely in the food and beverage industry. Over the past 5 years, as a Senior Project Manager (independent consultant), Don was responsible for managing major capital projects ranging up to $26MM for several food manufacturers throughout the U.S., with a heavy focus on packaging. He spent the previous 13 years in the Kraft organization as: Engineering Project Manager for Kraft Beverages, Project Leader in Salted Snacks, and Engineering Manager and Business Unit Manager for Planters Peanut Division.

Prior to Kraft, Don served 10 years as a Senior Project Engineer in the Nabisco Atlanta Bakery. Early in his career, he gained knowledge in pasta manufacturing and also in the production of Pringles. Don received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.

Todd Hills

I’m happy to announce that Todd Hills joined InLine’s Louisville office in January 2019 as a Senior Process Engineer. Todd is an engineering professional with over 20 years of design, manufacturing, and hands-on experience. He has project management and design experience from concept to start-up, as well as, on-site commissioning of turnkey system projects. Todd has a solid working knowledge in a variety of process engineering fields including macro/micro batching, aseptic process designs, UHT and HTST pasteurization, sterilization, CIP, bulk material handling, bulk storage, extrusion, pneumatic conveying, and pet food manufacturing.

Todd spent the past 6 years with a company that provides food and beverage manufacturers complete process systems. Prior to that, he spent 14 years with a pet food manufacturer with six plants worldwide. Todd received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University and a MBA from Western Kentucky University.
