John Seymour

We're happy to announce that John Seymour joined InLine Engineers’ Louisville office in late 2019 as a Senior Project Manager, with a specialty in Packaging projects.  John is experienced in packaging of pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and healthcare products, including line layout design, FDA compliance, quality assurance, budgeting, IQ/OQ/PQ, and technical writing of cGMP, FAT, SAT, and specification documents. He has a history in production equipment design- defining features for better operation and technician interface, and in balancing capital and operational costs.

John spent the past 4 years with Johnson & Johnson as a Project Engineer, Packaging Equipment and prior to J&J, spent over 23 years with Universal Machine & Engineering Corporation, a complete packaging systems solution provider. John holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. 

David Cooper

David joined InLine in November of 2019 as a Business Development Specialist. David has over 25 years of experience in technical sales roles, his most recent as Regional BD Manager for A&B Process Systems (JBT), pursuing Food/Beverage and Pharma prospects in a 10 state area.

In the 10 years prior to A&B, David had his own firm as an Independent Manufacturers Sales Representative, covering the Food/Beverage market in Georgia and Alabama, where he had daily engagement with Owners, Presidents, Plant Managers; plus Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance personnel. David has expertise in process pumps, mixers, tanks, heaters/chillers, inspection equipment, flowmeters, valves, custom sanitary processing skids, process piping, etc.

David holds a BS degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia. He will be based in InLine’s Atlanta office.

Gary Garfield

Gary joined InLine Engineers’ Louisville office as a Senior Program Manager in August of 2019. He was most recently Strategic Initiatives Engineering Director for Kellogg’s NA Supply Chain in Battle Creek, MI. He held various management and engineering roles within Kellogg’s over the past 20 years, including: Snacks Engineering Business Partner, Senior Director- Global Snacks Process Engineering, Snacks Process Engineering, and Senior Food Technologist/Engineer.

An accomplished engineering leader with expertise in innovation, productivity, and manufacturing, Gary was directly involved in launching 40+ new food innovations and numerous productivity initiatives, the design/start up 5+ new production facilities, and 23+ new production lines. Gary earned a BS from Michigan State University and has a Master’s degree from Texas A&M, both in Agricultural Engineering/Food Engineering. He will continue to be based in Battle Creek.

Macaire Benson

Macaire Benson joined InLine Engineers’ Louisville office as a Senior Program Manager in July. Macaire is a highly accomplished former Director of Operations and Engineering and Plant Manager with an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Point. She has a strong background in capital project management including new product introductions.

Macaire was most recently with Kerry Ingredients in Louisville. Prior to Kerry, she was Director of Operations and Engineering at Buffalo Trace Distillery for 8 years, and held various management positions at Brown Forman (Director of Distilling and Production, Plant Manager) the 10 years prior. Prior to Brown Forman, Macaire spent time at General Mills as a Quality Engineer, and Proctor and Gamble in Process Engineering.
